What should I say?
While we are not looking for polished literary or theological essays, here are some helpful hints.
You may remain anonymous. Your witness may be long (well, not a book),
or short (well, not only one sentence, unless you write like Rahner).
1. Have you experienced a conversion (mild or earth-shaking)
a) from outside the Catholic Church?
b) from within the Church?
c) from tepidity to fervour
d) from fervour to holiness (forget that, we couldn't stand it!)
2. Mention (describe) the person, situation, event, which shaped your faith.
3. What kind of work do you do for the Church?
4. Are you on the brink of a major change in your life?
a) marriage > birth of a child
b) seminary > priesthood
c) religious life > new work career
5. What are your hopes for the Church?
6. What are your deepest yearnings for the coming of the Kingdom on earth?
7. Are you suffering through a serious illness, and trying to see God in your pain?
These questions are provided merely as helps for the timid, and guidelines for the verbose (any of you
out there?) We do NOT presume to dictate the contents of your Christian
witness. You may use the points if they help; disregard them if they don't.
Send your witness to our
to have it posted on this page.
